Both diet and lifestyle play important and independent roles in staving off Alzheirmer's. People who exercise regularly experience less age-related brain loss --and their brains remain more plastic (able to learn new skills) longer. Physical activity helps oxygenate your body, increases the production of neurotransmitters (chemical messengers between brain cells), and reduces damage to these cells.
